From the Editor

Linda

Welcome to the December 2010 issue of the IAC VOICE! This marks the beginning of my third year as Editor, and I’m celebrating by featuring two of my favourite articles from the last two years.

In “Track of Light,” former Coaching Moments columnist Janice Hunter writes about how it’s tempting to hide, but safer to shine brightly and stand out. And in “Why Aren’t You Marketing Your Business,” Suzi Pomerantz brilliantly distils the elements of marketing, networking, branding and selling.

Below you will find IAC President Bob Tschannen-Moran’s latest President’s message, where he offers a tantalizing glimpse into the coaching scene in Asia (with more to come!).

Stay tuned next month for a Board of Governors update and a new article from an IAC member benefit provider. In the meantime, members can visit the website to browse all of the available member benefits.

Earlier this month, we posted a new Living the Masteries column, where Parisian coach Nad Philips explains how the IAC Coaching Masteries® are beautifully aligned with the strength-based method of Appreciative Inquiry.

In this month’s Inside Scoop – Ask the Certifiers column, Natalie Tucker Miller explores the boundary of the 30-minute certification recording.

I believe that 2011 holds great promise for the IAC, our website and the VOICE, and I look forward to my role in bringing that to you.

Our 2010 submission guidelines for the VOICE are available on the website. Submissions are welcome anytime throughout the month.

Please contact me with your article ideas and your feedback about this issue. Enjoy!

Warm wishes,
Linda
