An Interview With the IAC's Newest Certifier, Bonnie Chan
by Natalie Tucker Miller, IAC-CC
In today's Inside Scoop, I would like to introduce the IAC's newest certifier, Bonnie Chan, and share a conversation we had recently.
Natalie: Bonnie, welcome to the team! Your presence while you were training was so inspiring; it's an honor for us to have you officially accept the position. What would you say is your most compelling reason for joining the team?
Bonnie: To receive certifier-training was the first step. To accept the position is my second step towards the bigger dream of helping more coaches to get certified. In particular, to help those Chinese coaches who want to go through this growing process to achieve the highest global coaching standard and provide first class coaching service to their clients. I am just one of their support systems in their journey in helping people to succeed.
Natalie: Coaching has a broad reach in Asia, as the IAC discovered in Shanghai last year! What vision do you have for certification in Asia?
Bonnie: Asia and China are the fastest growing economies in the world. There are strong needs for masterful coaches to coach upcoming leaders in Asia, as Asia meets challenges in support of a better world. A high standard of coaching certification provides a strong customer assurance and ensures a growing and sustainable social impact. To further my own vision and belief in well mind, well business and well earth, I would like to see everyone have their own coach in Asia. Moreover, I would like to see every coach go through the certification learning journey with confidence. I believe the certification process also benefits those highly experienced coaches, if they treat it as a form of continuous professional development.
Natalie: You personally know the preparation it takes to pass the IAC exam, and you continue to help other coaches along their path. What words of wisdom can you offer the up and coming coaches around the world? (Members, continue reading here…)
