by Charlie Boyer In the northern United States, the colorful leaves of fall have given way to a few wintry blasts, while our southern neighbors are enjoying the start of summer. By the time you read this, we will all be running fast to get everything done before the new year is upon us. But be sure to take time to breathe, relax, and laugh a lot. Remember the old saying: The hurrier I go, the behinder I get! The Licensing Committee has been busy revising the Handbook for Licensees, and we’re close to the finish line. Our goal is to update, streamline, and most of all CLARIFY all the Handbook copy, so that what is posted on the IAC website will be accurate, up to date, and much clearer! We were pleased to receive three applications for licensing this past month. Action on two applications was deferred, pending the receipt of some additional information. One application for licensing was approved. Again, we noted the “international” aspect of applications, as one was from Brazil, one from Hong Kong, and one from Malaysia. As the holiday season draws nearer, we send our best wishes to you and yours. Let us all lift up our hopes for peace, joy and love in this troubled world. Committee members Deb Chisholm, Pepe Del Rio, Eduardo Vier and Charlie Boyer welcome your suggestions and comments. Contact the Licensing Committee at licensing@certifiedcoach.org.
