In our quest, as coaches, to create a positive transformation in ourselves, our clients or society as a whole we are bound to face situations that seem to be hugely challenging. Situations that will question intention, test ability and cause anxiety about the future.

What might coaches do in such situations?

On June 14th, it was my privilege to speak on the topic, ‘Transform Through Trust” at the World Business & Executive Coaching Summit (WBECS 2017), where I shared insights on how using Five Dimensions we might use Trust as the lever – a ‘trim tab’ – that propels growth and brings about transformation. Trust dilutes when we enter ‘boxes’ of our own making’ and start viewing the external world through a distorted lens. Building trust – exiting the ‘box’ – requires us to work through the various dimensions of creating Self- Awareness, being Mobile, learning Active Empathy, seeking Intentionality and finally acting as a ‘Trim Tab.’ If I have piqued your curiosity, interested readers are most welcome to view the entire presentation and to participate in a short (five question) quiz on the same topic.

The IAC believes that coaching is all about transformation and The IAC Coaching Masteries© offers the perfect foundation to bring about this change. Isn’t it very interesting that the First of the Coaching Masteries™ speaks about ‘Establishing and Maintaining a Relationship of Trust?’

As I look forward to receiving your thoughts and ideas on this fascinating topic of Trust, please connect with me at president@certifiedcoach.org.

With appreciation,

Krishna Kumar
